Emeka Uzoukwu is a business/financial consultant to a select group of corporate and private clients. He is a fully licensed Stockbroker and Investment Adviser.
He was formally a Wealth manager at Citi Smith Barney from 2001 until 2010 in Southern California. Prior to Citi Smith Barney, Mr. Uzoukwu was an Investment Associate with Salomon Smith Barney
Before joining SSB, Mr. Uzoukwu was with Merrill Lynch. He launched his career at this firm in 1997.
He has advised and worked on transactions in the oil and gas sector and most recently in the power sector where he worked on the successful fundraising effort of a privatized distribution company in Nigeria.
Emeka Uzoukwu has attended several Executive Education programs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School. He received his Executive MBA from Loyola Marymount University Los Angeles, California, and earned a B.A. in Economics from Hobart College Geneva, New York.
Areas of current and future interest include; Real-estate, Asset management, alternative investments, power, and energy economics, Infrastructure project finance, with particular focus on Sub- Saharan Africa.
Emeka is a member of HRF Foundation and The Rotary Club of Abuja Metro. He is an avid golfer, lawn tennis player, and a passionate supporter of Los Angeles Lakers and Tottenham Hotspurs FC.
Jerry Ejikeme started his early career as a lawyer but soon found his niche in the telecoms industry. In 1998, Jerry established Talkactive Communication centres with branches/retail outlets across the UK which he successfully sold in 2005. During this period he also implemented a West African distribution corridor for NERA (Immarsat) satellite systems and co-founded Roam4less Ltd, a USSD prepaid roaming platform provider to African Network Operators.
In 2005, Jerry took a leading role with Nomi Global, a UK MVNO, to develop emerging Market opportunities in Africa. It was there, that he signed the contract to develop the overseas channel for MTN Nigeria - a first in a line of successful achievements in the Mobile telecoms industry. In 2007 Jerry founded Nomiworld Ltd (Africa) and Sochitel UK Ltd to focus completely on the emerging international remittances industry. In November 2010, Sochitel was appointed as an MTN Group international trade partner for its 21 network operations and implemented the first ever international MTN VTU integration on its platform. Today Sochitel represents MTN Group in UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Africa as a Global Remittance Partner and also offers over 300 GSM network products globally – see and . Jerry has been invited to speak on GSM panels around the world and has advised on industry white papers.
As a committed Christian Jerry is passionate about social justice and welfare issues. As well as his business activities, Jerry is a keen golfer and gives motivational talks to youths and charities around the world.
